Abstract: This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership through the implementation of a reward and punishment system on employee performance at Auto 2000 By Pass, Padang City. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey approach and data analysis using linear regression. The respondents in this study were 80 employees who worked at Auto 2000 By Pass, Padang City. The research results show that giving rewards has a significant positive effect on increasing employee performance, while the application of punishment also has a significant impact in increasing motivation and performance, although in a different context. Overall, leadership that combines reward and punishment can improve employee performance by creating a more structured and focused work environment. These findings are expected to provide insight for management in formulating effective leadership strategies to improve performance in the future.
