Abstract: Immunization is an important preventive health intervention that protects children against various infectious diseases and supports the development of an optimal immune system from an early age. This study aims to analyze the role of childhood immunization in developing long-term immunity and supporting optimal growth and development. The research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach (library research), involving an examination of relevant scientific sources, including journal articles, books, health guidelines, and official publications related to childhood immunization. The data are analyzed descriptively and qualitatively by identifying, classifying, and interpreting information concerning the mechanisms of immune system development, the benefits of immunization in preventing infectious diseases, and its contribution to children's health and development. The findings indicate that immunization plays a significant role in stimulating the immune system to recognize and fight specific pathogens, thereby reducing the risk of vaccine-preventable diseases, minimizing potential complications, and improving children's quality of life. Adherence to the recommended immunization schedule is also an essential component of sustainable child health protection. Therefore, increasing immunization coverage through parental education, strengthening healthcare services, and raising public awareness is necessary to support healthy and optimal child growth and development.
