INTERAKSI SOSIAL MAHASISWA KAMPUS MENGAJAR DAN SISWA DALAM PENGUATAN LITERASI SERTA NUMERASI DI SD GMIT NAIONI KOTA KUPANG

Abstract: This study aims to describe and analyze the dynamics of social interaction between Kampus Mengajar students and elementary school students in supporting literacy and numeracy learning at SD GMIT Naioni, Alak District, Kupang City. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. The study involved 13 informants, consisting of four Kampus Mengajar students, seven fourth- and fifth-grade students, and two teachers. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the adaptation process, supported by effective communication and positive interpersonal relationships, enhanced students' engagement in learning activities. Social interactions strengthened literacy through shared reading, discussions, and reading camps, while numeracy was improved through collaborative learning, educational games, and problem-solving activities. The success of the program was supported by strong collaboration among university students, teachers, and pupils, although differences in students' characteristics and limited implementation time remained significant challenges.
