The roof is the part of a building that functions as a cover for the entire room below. The roof is also a crown which has the function of adding beauty and protecting the building from heat and rain. As protection from rainwater, the roof installation must be able to accommodate the diversion of the volume of rainwater that falls on it, through a gutter system.
Seepage and rusting that occurs in the gutter system of the Bisnin Center UNUKASE building is interesting to find out the causes and alternative needs for. It was found that there was a large difference between the rain discharge hitting the roof of 400 liters/minute and the predicted maximum rain intensity, while the available gutter capacity was only 27 liters per minute.
