Oral health problems are often complained about by people in Indonesia, especially among children. One of the problems found is dental caries. The prevalence of dental caries in children in Riau Islands amounted to 3,758 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cariogenic food consumption and tooth brushing habits with dental caries disease in elementary school children at State Elementary School 013 Sagulung Batam City. This study is a quantitative study, using an analytic design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 1st to 6th grade students at State Elementary School 013 Sagulung Batam City. The number of samples needed was 64 students who were taken using statified random sampling technique. Data collection tool used questionnaire and data analysis used mann-whitney test. There is a significant relationship between consumption of cariogenic foods and dental caries where the ρ value is 0.000. There is a significant relationship between the habit of brushing teeth with dental caries where the ρ value is 0.000 in school children at elementary school in State Elementary School 013 Sagulung Batam City.
