KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI BERDASARKAN ASPEK POLA MAKAN DAN STRESS

Hypertension is a medical condition characterized by an increase in a person's blood pressure above normal limits, namely systolic pressure ≥120 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥80 mmHg. This disease is one of the most common cardiovascular disorders and has a very high prevalence in the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and stress with the incidence of hypertension. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted at the Sungai Bungkal Community Health Center in February 2024. The population consisted of all people aged 45 years and older in the working area of the Sungai Bungkal Community Health Center. The sample consisted of 110 people. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed a relationship between dietary patterns (p value: 0.034) and stress (p value: 0.041) and the incidence of hypertension. It is recommended that patients improve their lifestyle by not smoking, engaging in physical activity, and maintaining a healthy diet by reducing salt intake and limiting consumption of fatty foods.
