Green Open Space (RTH) is an essential component of urban spatial planning that plays a significant role in maintaining ecological balance and environmental quality. Rapid urban development has led to a decrease in green open space due to improper land conversion. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal counseling in improving public understanding regarding green open space utilization based on Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning. The research uses a normative juridical method with an empirical approach through legal counseling activities in Ciputat District, South Tangerang City. The results show that legal counseling effectively improves public understanding and legal awareness regarding green open space management. Therefore, legal counseling supports sustainable spatial planning implementation.
